The Allen & Heath AR2412 (GLD-AR2412) is a rack-mountable 48 kHz digital remote stage box (AudioRack) engineered for live performance touring, houses of worship, broadcast setups, and fixed auditorium installations. Designed to position high-density remote I/O right at the stage or equipment rack, the AR2412 delivers 24 remote-controlled XLR microphone preamps and 12 balanced XLR line outputs across a single Cat5e cable using Allen & Heath’s proprietary dSNAKE protocol.

24 Remote-Controlled Microphone Preamps: Outfitted with 24 high-grade XLR inputs featuring digitally recallable analog gain settings and independent $+48\text{V}$ Phantom Power indicators. All preamp parameters can be adjusted directly from the mixing console surface or via remote control apps.

12 Balanced XLR Line Outputs: Provides 12 line-level XLR output jacks on the front panel, perfect for feeding on-stage wedge monitors, in-ear monitor transmitters, stage fills, and primary PA amplifier racks.

dSNAKE Cat5e Digital Multicore Protocol: Connects to the host console up to 100 meters (330 feet) away over standard shielded Cat5e cable via a locking Neutrik EtherCON port, eliminating the need for bulky, heavy analog multicore snakes.

Expander Port: Allows direct daisy-chain connection to an AR84 or AB168 AudioRack to add extra inputs and outputs on the same stage line.

Monitor Port: Features a dedicated EtherCON output for direct connection to Allen & Heath’s ME Personal Mixing System (ME-1, ME-500) or ME-U hubs without requiring a separate network distributor.

Multi-Console Compatibility: While originally developed for the GLD series, the AR2412 offers native plug-and-play operation across the Qu Series (Qu-16, Qu-24, Qu-32, Qu-Pac, Qu-SB), SQ Series (SQ-5, SQ-6, SQ-7 via dSNAKE/SLink), and Avantis consoles.
